EuroShop, the world’s largest trade fair for the investment needs of the retail sector and thus the leading trade fair for retail technology, opened in Düsseldorf from 16 to 20 February 2020. At its interactive concept stand, vir2store GmbH presented diverse possibilities of digital customer communication, which can be created and operated via the all new software platform vir2cloud, and convinced the visitors with innovative developments – such as the Vir2pac, a concept for packaging reduction.
A motorbike shop, which was modelled on the stand, impressed with a large number of digital touch points. From price and product awards with iPads, to an interactive advisor station consisting of a touch table and wall display, to a magic mirror, the digital customer journey was convincingly presented and through the linking of all systems – for example via Swoosh technology – became a real experience. The presentation of the innovative retail technologies was rounded off by a solution for interactive customer communication in the shop window, digital customer stoppers, ESL labels and, above all, options for automatic product identification (RFID tags, QR codes, product recognition by camera), which enables the targeted provision of information – geared to specific customer interests.
Despite the difficult general conditions, there was great interest in the stand. The representatives of vir2store were accordingly satisfied after five successful days at the fair. “We are pleased about the great response we received at EuroShop. We were able to show the complete digital Customer Journey in a wonderful way using the motorbike shop that we have reproduced here. And the various touchpoints you have with your customers,” says Managing Director André Brinkmöller, summing up the presentation.
And Johannes Büld also drew a positive conclusion: “One of the most important ideas presented is our Vir2pac concept. We transport the advertising messages from the packaging to digital screens – including cross-selling. More sales, better advice and packaging reduction – what more do I have to explain?”.
